Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is one of the largest medical practices in New England with multiple locations throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island. We consist of a team of professionals ranging from Medical Assistants to Physician Assistants and everything in between. Our physician led medical group enjoys an excellent reputation with patients and the medical community, offering primary care, urgent care and more than 30 different specialties.
Responsible for performing a wide range of complex and routine HR related duties including union/mgt relationships, working closely with members of the system HR team and Centers of Excellence to support the mission of the organization. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to employee relations/conflict resolution, recruitment strategy, workforce planning, process improvement, employee engagement and career development. This role is critical to creating and developing opportunities for our employees, supporting company growth initiatives, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.
Provides guidance and counseling to managers and employees on issues including, but not limited to employee performance/performance improvement, complaint investigation and resolution, assistance with progressive discipline process/corrective action determination, compensation, succession planning and career development. Where applicable, assists with resolving union grievances. Partners with Legal and Centers of Excellence to implement solutions and/or escalate issues as appropriate.
Assists in development, implementation, and standardization of company-wide policies and procedures, and ensures consistent application of these policies and procedures in assigned region.
Manages core HR processes. Compiles and interprets analytics to identify trends, monitor and improve core processes. Provides strategic recommendations for new approaches, procedures to continually improve efficiency and outcomes.
Provides project management and support for initiatives of a complex, cross-functional nature, including those related to employee engagement, workforce planning, organizational change, and other ongoing key HR initiatives.
Partners with local leaders and the larger system to ensure that we are creating an environment that engages all employees, respects diversity, rewards excellence, and is compliant with all applicable labor laws.
Demonstrates strong collaboration and communication skills while working in a matrixed, team environment to share knowledge and influence best practices.
Manage the union/management relationship including grievance resolution.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field required. MS in Labor Relations preferred. Minimum 3 years of related experience required. 3 years in labor relations preferred.
