The Office of Compliance and Integrity (OCI) provides a framework for the management of healthcare compliance issues, helping to ensure that the entire HHC community is able to recognize and avoid situations that might compromise adherence to applicable laws, regulations and/or HHC’s values.

The Intern working under the direction of Office of Compliance & Integrity (OCI) Leadership, the Compliance and Privacy Intern demonstrates a strong interest in learning and contributing to a robust corporate compliance program at HHC.  With direction and guidance, the Intern will work on various compliance and privacy-related projects as assigned. Responsibilities include but, are limited to the following:

  • Developing and revising policies and procedures
  • Developing and revising compliance and privacy educational materials and presentations
  • Supporting the compliance and privacy risk assessment process
  • Supporting the compliance and privacy regulatory communication and education process



  • Current enrolled in a Master’s Level program; preferably with a focus in Health Care Management and/or Corporate Compliance


  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical and written/verbal communication skills required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. 
  • Ability to utilize information technology and systems to develop and enhance educational content
  • Ability to understand and interpret federal and state regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
