Job Description

Schedules and performs diagnostic medical sonograms in accordance with protocols to assist the physician with diagnosis and treatment. Reports to: Unit Leader.

  • Performs ultrasound diagnostic procedures by positioning patients, selecting appropriate transducers and correct scanning sequences to produce an accurate image in order to assist the physician in diagnosis and treatment. Provides and ensures optimal technical quality and accuracy of all Ultrasound examinations according to the American College of Radiology (ACR) standards & FDA quality control requirements.  Assembles sterile trays and assumes scrub duties as necessary. 
  • Accurately inputs data into electronic medical record, RIS and PACS to capture necessary information regarding exams, supply charges, resource allocations, as well as all relevant clinical information. Transfers correctly annotated images into PACS. 


  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • At least one (1) year experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
  • Registered or Registry eligible - ARDMS.
  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • Computer literate.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Maintain continuing education credits

Will provide coverage between 3 sites.
