JOB SUMMARY

We are currently seeking an experienced Clinical Data Analyst to work with a fast growing data analytics department at the Bone and Joint Institute of Hartford HealthCare. This individual will work closely with a mission driven team whose goal is to provide analytical support and further develop the department’s internal data warehouse. This is a full time, hybrid position with the following responsibilities:

  • Run analytics on large surgery related datasets. This includes incorporating data pertinent to the Bone and Joint Institute from multiple sources, especially EMR (EPIC) and billing data (EPSI)
  • Help manage, prepare, analyze, and interpret data, as well as report on analysis results
  • Manage data integration and business development opportunities involving various data sources
  • Engage in team meetings and miscellaneous business needs
  • BI Analyst/Report Developer with SQL, EPIC to support our medical foundation practices and support services with data/reporting needs related to quality, regulatory and medical functions
  • Provide a strong understanding of database management
  • Work closely with quality analysts in data validation, reporting, and analysis utilizing Epic reporting capabilities as well as custom development of dashboards and scorecards
  • Be responsible for supporting various activities related to the provider network database, including database development, maintenance, reporting and extracting data, initiating database improvement; and providing business intelligence (BI) solutions to address and analyze data to meet the needs of The Bone and Joint Institute

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience and strong competence in managing, interpreting and analyzing healthcare data
  • Must be proficient with SQL and report writing
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • EPIC Caboodle and Clarity Certification preferred
  • Excellent/Effective communication skills and knowledge of desktop tools (Tableau, Qlikview, Thoughtspot, Excel)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Masters Preferred)

Experience:

  • Working with healthcare datasets: 3 year (Required)
