Hartford HealthCare (HHC) Cancer Institute is a fully certified member of the Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) Cancer Alliance. The MSK Cancer Alliance is an initiative designed to establish partnerships between MSK and local care providers. Through the open collaboration that is facilitated by these partnerships, community cancer caregivers are in a better position to provide state of the art, evidence-based cancer care to improve the lives of cancer patients. Advanced Practice Professional Development Specialist Role Scope
The Advanced Practice Professional Development Specialist acts as an educational planner responsible for assuring that educational outcomes are measurable and in alignment with the educational design and planning of programming. The Advanced Practice Professional Development Specialist also ensures competencies and standards of practice are in alignment and upheld. They serve as a consultant, role model, change agent, mentor, collaborator, and facilitator of learning. This person will support continuous improvement in key areas to address the evolving needs of the inter-professional cancer care team:
This role will support and participate in coordination of accreditation activities for the Cancer Institute and will work collaboratively with educational leaders both inside and outside the Cancer Institute.
