Hartford HealthCare Medical Group partnered with Soundview Medical Associates to expand Connecticut’s most comprehensive health network and access into Fairfield Country in 2020.  Our Norwalk practice provides both Primary and Specialty patient care services to our community, in addition to onsite testing. 

Job Description

As a Licensed Practical Nurse under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Provider provides quality and cost-effective direct care for patients/families within a unit, service or other primary area of practice. Position reports to Nurse Manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Basic knowledge of Nursing principles and practices. Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions. Communicates effectively in order to provide technical or complex information as well as instruction. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with departments, employees, physicians, managers and patients. Ability to handle multiple priorities, be flexible and a team player. Ability to work in a stressful environment. Commitment to customer service. Basic computer knowledge in order to enter/retrieve data
 

Qualifications

•    Current CT Licensed Practical Nurse license 
•    Current CPR certification required within 6 months of hire
•    Medical Practice Experience preferred 
•    Demonstrates competencies, including knowledge and behaviors, to meet age-specific patient needs
•    Ability to provide quality patient/customer service 
•    Ability and willingness to serve all customers at all times, maintaining an awareness of patient needs and utilizing initiative to respond to those needs
•    Ability to utilize tact, discretion, and compassion in responding to patient/family needs
•    Ability to maintain confidentiality of all patient information
•    Ability to collaborate with other members of the team to ensure quality patient care
•    Demonstrates a willingness for self-improvement by collaborating with leadership to identify learning needs (reflective of organization) and seek instruction from appropriate resources
•    Basic knowledge of physiological, psychological, social, and cultural concepts involved in patient care
•    Strong organization skills and ability to complete assignments in face of competing priorities
