Job Description:


Provides support to OR and Central Sterile Supply by Building and Correcting Count Sheets, which are essential for tray accuracy, and Pick Lists which are essential to ensure each case has all required items. Provides education to Central Sterile Staff by coordinating in-services with suppliers, Vendors and OR Staff. Verifies and documents required annual continuing education and in-servicing of staff for Central Sterile Supply Leadership. Works with Central Sterile Leadership in addressing issues with Printers/Zebra/SPM such as adding or removing staff members, editing staff access and troubleshooting hardware/software issues as they arise. Works with OR and SPD leadership to ensure Tray Weights and Configurations meet standards as required by AAMI. Provides regular reports to both Central Sterile and Operating Room Leadership on incomplete trays, missing items, inventory levels and preventative maintenance schedule to ensure the condition and availability of needed surgical instruments.


Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Current "Sterile Processing Distribution Technician Certification" from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Inc.(CBSPD) required
  • Five years experience in Central Sterile Supply preferred.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English required.
