Job Description

Supporting the Hartford HealthCare Medical Group (HHC MG), its providers and other employees, the Communications Specialist: Creates printed, visual and online communications for internal and external audiences. This position requires skills in working to provide research such as interviewing, writing, fact-checking; and presentation, such as design, distribution platform selection, dissemination. Works independently to create communications that support engagement of staff, providers and consumers; and promote new programs and providers. Creates and executes strategic communications plans regularly that include print, social media, website, video.
 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, journalism or related field required, Master’s degree in Health Administration, Communications or a related field preferred
At least one year of previous communications or journalism experience required, including publication of visual and written work in one or more of the following: marketing materials, advertising/design agency products for clients, magazines, journals, newspapers or websites. 
Demonstrated ability using social media and multimedia platforms for professional communications preferred.
