St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport has more than 3,200 employees. It includes a 473-bed community teaching hospital, a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility in Westport, a large multispecialty provider group, and special needs services for adults and children. St. Vincent’s is the first hospital in Fairfield County to be integrated into the Hartford HealthCare network, and is the system’s second-largest hospital.
Under the supervision of the Vice President of Ambulatory Services and Connecticut Orthopaedic Institute, this associate offers multi-skilled support and project oversight for Connecticut Orthopaedic Institute. Organizes and oversees special projects and administrative functions of the Institute.
Support for COI Leadership
Creates and prepares reports and correspondence, formulates summaries and analysis of information, including consolidation of input from reporting units.
Responsible for COI related documentation and materials; supports the development and maintenance of the Institute’s reporting and communication methodology.
Coordinates COI events, meetings, and travel. Manages calendars and scheduling; prepares meeting agendas, presentations, and summaries.
Manages sensitive and confidential information and issues impacting the organization.
Functions as an interdepartmental liaison for COI.
Responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and responding to COI correspondence.
Assists with media and community outreach and educational seminars.
Supports the needs of the organization by coordinating and overseeing special projects.
Facilitates planning and/or management for programs and strategic initiatives supported by COI.
Researches and makes recommendations to improve or develop Institute programs, tools, and interventions to support the work and goals of the Institute.
Researches and implements processes to measure the achievement and ROI of goals; provides timely reports on key metrics for use in evaluating quality, efficiency and comprehensiveness of care provided to patients of Connecticut Orthopaedic Institute.
Develops and maintains effective relationships and communication flow with business partners, both internal and external.
Coordinates completion of projects and information-gathering activities of reporting units.
Initiates activities and uses independent judgment in resolving issues, expeditiously elevating them to a higher authority when needed.
Coordinates varied and complex processes, determining the most appropriate methods and procedures; may oversee the work of others in this process.
Contributes to streamlined information flow throughout the organization, initiates proactive and independent research, action, and communications in regards to the activities of the manager.
• Bachelors Degree
Experience as an Executive Assistant level in healthcare environment
Minimum 2 - 3 years’ experience in related field and demonstrated proficiency in administrative support practices and project oversight.
3 to 5 years administrative experience working in Microsoft Office platforms with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Proficiency in English required.
