Job Shift: Shift 1
Shift Details: M-F 7:30 Am- 4:00 Pm , No Weekends, No Holidays

The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital, we provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties. Staffed by our talented team of leading professionals, The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides a wide array of services throughout the region, caring for patients from birth through the end of life.

Under the direction of the clinical staff, the Hyperbaric Technician administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients.

Responsibilities:
Assists in patient preparation for treatments

Reinforces hyperbaric therapy education

Keeps complete and accurate patient treatment records

Performs hyperbaric chamber operations and systems maintenance

Participates in the safety program

Maintains competencies, continuing education and certifications

Utilizes data software for wound management

Makes appropriate entries for daily hyperbaric treatments and wound care clinic visits

Performs other duties as assigned or necessary


 

Qualifications


HS diploma/GED required

Minimum Requirements
Completion of the appropriate program or certification in one of the following vocations:
Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program or Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA)
EMT: basic or paramedic
Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT)
Physical Therapy Assistant

Preferred Qualifications
Hyperbaric Training Course as approved by the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology (NBDHMT)
Clinical experience. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Effective verbal and written communication skills. BLS certification
