Under the direction of the East Region Diagnostic Imaging Scheduling Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible to perform a wide variety of duties to include coordination of support staff workflow, scheduling and coordinating patient procedures for Radiology, Cardiology and Pulmonary Rehabilitation according to department protocols, while ensuring an environment which promotes a positive patient experience.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Computer skills required. Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced computer skills preferred.
Experience Two (2) years’ experience in a hospital or health care related field. Three to 5 years’ experience in a hospital or health care related field, preferably radiology preferred.
Language Skills: Bilingual English - Spanish preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to make independent decisions within his/her area of responsibility. Strong analytical skills. Good verbal skills in the English language required daily. Excellent telephone skills required. Ability to learn use of all equipment necessary to perform job. Excellent PC skills including word processing and data entry required. Ability to adapt in fast paced, stressful environment. Working knowledge of medical terminology to include diagnosis/CPT codes. Accurate grammar, spelling and punctuation skills necessary. Work is performed in accordance with instruction and procedures, but requires the ability to recognize problem situations and refer them to the appropriate staff member.
