Cardiology Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner Role Scope    
At HHC Advanced Practitioners enjoy the full scope of advanced practice and receive recognition and respect for their contributions to high quality patient care. We are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant to partner with Cardiologists located in Plainfield and Putnam.  The Advanced Practitioner will provide outpatient cardiology office functions under the direct supervision of a physician.  Responsibilities include cardiology consultations, post hospital follow-up visits, hospital based stress testing, performance of in office cardiac stress testing (treadmill and vasodilator), and pre-hospital/procedure evaluations. The schedule for this opportunity is Monday through Friday without call! Practice with autonomy and enjoy the close mentorship and collegiality of a leading regional cardiology group!

 

Shift: Monday through Friday

Qualifications

Advanced Practitioner Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner Master’s program
  • Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut
  • Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant or National Board Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse through AACN or ANCC.  
  • AGACNP Board Certification as an acute care nurse practitioner and / or critical care AP experience.
  • 3-5 years clinical experience within Cardiology, including stress testing - preferred
