Opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide per diem lactation consultant services, in a high volume Women's Health Services, Breastfeeding Department at Hartford Hospital, located in Hartford, CT

Certification and license as a Physician Assistant, or National Board Certification, as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP), Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP), or Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) is required. International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) is highly preferred, or willingness to obtain within 1 year of employment. Lactation, Labor and Delivery, Women’s Health, or Maternal Child Health experience is required. Knowledge of ICD 9 / ICD 10 codes preferred.
