Hartford HealthCare, the largest and most integrated healthcare system in Connecticut, has a new opportunity available for a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, to provide initial consults for Cardiac Catheterization patients in an outpatient setting at Hartford Hospital, located in Hartford, CT

 

Some highlights of this opportunity include:

  • The Cardiology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner practices in an outpatient setting providing complex / in-depth invasive cardiology consultations in conjunction with a physician during the patient visit
  • A practice model that allows ample time with patients to complete thorough H&P’s to optimize patients for complex procedures
  • A consistent Monday through Friday 8am – 4:30pm schedule with no call!
  • Potential inpatient cath lab pre and post op coverage may be included depending on an individual’s credentials
  • A high volume cath lab that has received the Gold Glass Standard for Cardiac Care
  • One of two Gold Plus Cath Labs in CT
  • Rated one of the Top 100 Cath Labs in the US through Healthgrades

Qualifications

Eligibility to be licensed in Connecticut as a Physician Assistant (PA), or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), is required. Eligibility to be certified as a Physician Assistant (PA), or National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), or Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) is required. 1 year of APP experience, or RN cardiology experience is required.  Cardiology and/or Cardiac catheterization lab experience preferred. Active ACLS, or ability to obtain, is required.
