Job Shift: Shift 1
Shift Details: Monday - Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. Some evenings and weekends

St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport has more than 3,200 employees. It includes a 473-bed community teaching hospital, a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility in Westport, a large multispecialty provider group, and special needs services for adults and children. St. Vincent’s is the first hospital in Fairfield County to be integrated into the Hartford HealthCare network, and is the system’s second-largest hospital.

Summary:

  • Leads the implementation of a major gifts program for the Fairfield Region by managing a portfolio of donors capable of making gifts of at least $10,000 and developing strategies for capital and major fundraising initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and manages a portfolio of prospects capable of making gifts of $10,000 or more by achieving quarterly moves management, contacts, and solicitations goals.
  • Develops and implements strategies for capital and major fundraising initiatives that align with regional strategic priorities.
  • Collaborates with medical center leadership, physicians and other colleagues to identify prospects and engage their help in cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of new and current donors. 
  • Performs in a metrics driven program by tracking all moves management and substantive actions records in the donor database of record.
  • Conducts outbound calls to former patients, potential donors, community members, corporations, and foundations.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in fundraising or comparable field
