Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network is the premier rehabilitation provider in Connecticut. We provide rehabilitation services across the continuum - acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, sub-acute rehabilitation, homecare, outpatient centers, and in community settings such as senior centers, work sites, and schools and colleges. We offer over 30 outpatient locations with a variety of specialists, including oncology, women’s health, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language, we are known for our commitment to high quality, customer focused outcomes.
We are seeking an Athletic Trainer (AT) intern to provide services to the University of Hartford for the 2021-2022 academic school year.
While at UHart, the AT provides injury assessment, treatment, management and rehabilitation services for student-athletes under the direction of the Head Athletic Trainer. Assists coaches, team physicians and fellow athletic trainers with the design and implementation of injury prevention programs, including injury recognition, evaluation and management. Assumes responsibility for adherence to rules and regulations governing University, America East Conference and the NCAA, including assisting in the education process extended to alumni and the community. Performs all duties in full support of the University’s mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the University’s students.

Bachelor's degree required, Master’s preferred.
BOC Certification required and in good standing.
Connecticut Athletic Trainer license required.
