The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital, we provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties. Staffed by our talented team of leading professionals, The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides a wide array of services throughout the region, caring for patients from birth through the end of life.
Reporting to the Clinical Manager, and in collaboration with other members of the health care team, the Wound Care RN provides wound care to patients in the outpatient Wound Care Center and on the medical/surgical units. In addition, the Wound Care RN provides wound care to inpatients utilizing Low Braden scores to help staff prevent pressure ulcers.
Minimum Qualifications: Current CT RN license. 2 years of acute care nursing experience. Wound care, outpatient care or geriatric/SNF experience desirable. Wound Care Certification preferred.
Critical Success Factors: Critical Success Factors: Acute care experience. Self directed in the management of patient care. Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
Independent problem solving skills.
