The Sterile Products Program Coordinator establishes and implements policies, procedures, and standards to help ensure all IV Admixture Clean Rooms in the system are in compliance with USP797 and USP 800. Responsible for regulatory compliance activities and reporting related to USP797 and USP 800. Develops standard work to ensure all required environmental monitoring of clean rooms is accomplished in an efficient and effective manner. Provides oversight of clean room construction and renovation projects. Gives strategic input to system pharmacy leadership team on growth of sterile compounding program in system.




  • PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy. OR – licensed Pharmacists prior to 2002 Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Completion of an accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency training program.


  • Five (5) or more years’ experience in a hospital pharmacy with a focus in sterile products.
  • Prior experience in a sterile products coordinator role preferred
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies such as the Department of Public Health, Department of Consumer Protection and the Joint Commission preferred

Licensure, Certification, Registration

  • Licensed as a registered Pharmacist in Connecticut or eligible to receive licensure within 45 days.
  • BPS Certification in Sterile Preparations Pharmacy or similar/equivalent advanced certification.
