Shift Details: Hours of operation 6:30am-8pm M-F, Saturday 8-4:30, 2 evenings and some weekends required

Summary
We’re seeking a motivated Physical Therapist (PT) to join our experienced team of clinicians who has a passion for patient care in the area of outpatient orthopedics, sports medicine and manual therapy.


Specialty programs in the office include musculoskeletal disorders, hand therapy (CHT), sports medicine, safe steps- balance/fall prevention, headache management, osteoporosis, bariatric rehab, vestibular, work injury rehab, McKenzie therapy, muscle energy techniques and more!

This brand new opening with Windham Hospital’s outpatient office in Willimantic offers an opportunity to collaborate with surgeons performing state of the art robotic surgical care!

This is a great opportunity to work with a diverse orthopedic population that offers a wonderful team atmosphere with experienced clinicians and some of the best orthopedic physicians, nurses and physician assistants in New England!

Description
Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for planning, assessing, interpreting and implementing treatment programs according to the need of age specific categories of patients and as medically prescribed for our inpatient and/or outpatient patients. Effectively interacts and communicates with patients, families, and other health team members, according to the principles, ethics, practices and standards of professional therapy practice.

Qualifications

Equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
CT Physical Therapist (PT) active or temporary license.
CPR certification.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be flexible, a team player and able to work efficiently in a hectic environment.

Works efficiently and organizes time appropriately. Ability to prioritize daily work assignments.

Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information. Basic computer skills (including opening/reading email, basic internet use). Proficient skills in windows based software (including word processing, database, spreadsheet and presentation programs).

Working knowledge of Sate Practice Act and Federal Medicaid and Medicare regulations.

Problem Solving and Decision Making
Requires the ability to exercise discretion and use good judgment to perform duties promptly and consistently with little direction. Requires high level of analytical ability in order to gather and interpret information from various sources. Able to take the appropriate action in response to changes, circumstances or problems. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
