Position Summary:
The Environmental Services Lead Aide performs general cleaning and routine related activities, in assigned areas, according to department standards in order to maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize environment by completing daily, periodic, and project cleaning using appropriate equipment, chemicals, and supplies to provide a healthy and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Dispose of all categories of waste by segregating, packaging, and removing waste to comply with state and federal regulations regarding waste management.
  • Transport, move, and deliver furniture and equipment using hospital vehicles, hand trucks, and dollies in accordance with customers' requests and needs.
  • The Environmental Services Lead Aide needs to respond promptly and appropriately to emergency environmental situations to provide a safe environment for all customers (patients, staff, and visitors).
  • Coordinate/ oversee the supply consumption use of equipment and activities of peers.





  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
