The Project Coordinator position is designed for high-performers with interest in building the knowledge, skills and competencies of project management. The Project Coordinator will continue working in an operational capacity at the business/function level while gaining the benefits of training and exposure through mentorship, huddle collaboration, project partnerships and formal training through the H3W PMO.
This position will perform project management duties that support the initiation, planning, execution and completion of projects.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Manages small-to-medium size and low complexity projects. Partners with Executive Sponsor(s) to build a relationship that best manages expectations and supports project execution and implementation. Schedules and conducts key project meetings for stakeholders, sponsors, teams, etc. Creates meeting materials (including agendas, presentations, meeting minutes and other project-supporting materials as required for the project team members) and tracks completion to ensure quality and integrity of deliverables. Creates weekly/monthly reports for project team meetings in order to manage priorities, highlight risks/issues and share best practices. Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information, requests and calls; recommends ways to create efficient and productive departmental workflows and triage work requests.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field of study, project management experience in a business, government and/or academic setting, and the interest in a Project Management Professional (PMP) track. Experience working in a PMO, 0-2 years’ experience in a project focused role and Master’s degree preferred.
