Job Description:

An individual trained to perform a variety of service-oriented functions; providing support for ACU and PACU Departments.  Supports patient care through inventory management, quality control testing, equipment and room readiness, patient transport, and secretarial duties for unit.  Assist directly in providing patient care as trained/competent (e.g. endo room assistance, patient monitoring, patient care to include vital signs, ambulation, personal care) and other tasks deemed appropriate. 

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE 

  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • arrhythmia recognition required

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

  • CNA or EMT certification required
  • BLS certification required or completion within the first three months of employment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 18 years of age.  Must get along well with others.  Must be able to effectively present information in 1-on-1 situations and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.  Must have English skills including the ability to read, write, comprehend and verbally communicate with others.  Must be capable of lifting 35 pounds.
