Job Schedule: Part Time
Standard Hours: 24
Job Shift: Shift 2
Shift Details: Evening (3p-11:30p) Every other weekend/holiday.

On the Shea unit, our team of professionals provides skilled, compassionate care to our patients in a specialized, multi-level, inpatient unit.  Our main 30-bed medical-surgical and telemetry unit is the core of our department with additional beds for step-down/PCU and orthopedic patients.  We are a collaborative, multidisciplinary care team who are proud to serve our community.


Job Summary

 

Under the direct supervision of an RN or his/her designee, the Patient Care Technician will assist the RN in providing direct care to patients according to age specific needs.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • State of CT Certified Nurses Aid Certificate or presently enrolled in a Registered Nurse program having completed one semester of a clinical rotation. 
  • BLS certification required or completion within the first three months of employment.
