will include, patient management and crisis intervention on the
surgical and critical care units primarily including,but not limited to,
the pre and post kidney and liver transplant and end stage organ
failure patient population, as well as discharge planning, and
in-patient and emergency department consultations.
This position may require
first-assisting in the operating room and skill development with
procedures such as dialysis access and central venous catheter line
placements, liver and renal transplant biopsies, and paracentesis
position also requires handling after-hours patient calls and
triaging the calls as indicated.
is a 40 hour/3 shift position which requires permanent night and
is primarily weekday shift coverage, with rotating weekend day coverage
and occasional overnight shift coverage responsibilities as needed.

Current Connecticut PA/APRN license
APRN candidates must have completed RNFA training
Board Certified or Eligible (If eligible-certification
must be accomplished within 3 months of hire).
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s preferred for PA
position Master's required for APRN position.
Demonstrated ability of positive interaction with the
medical/nursing staff and other members of the multidisciplinary
team. This position works closely with surgical residents.
Surgical experience preferred but will consider new
