Job Summary

 

The ITS Application Analyst I provides application and technical information system support for virtual health initiatives and MyChartPLUS, a Web-based portal that provides patients access to their Epic medical record and the ability to participate in virtual visits, send messages to caregivers, view and pay bills, schedule appointments, and complete pre-visit documentation.

 

As part of the Transform team, the ITS Application Analyst’s responsibilities include but, are not limited to:

 

  • Optimizing the MyChartPLUS patient portal through addition of functionality to extend access to health information and support virtual health services, self-scheduling, and self-registration
  • Supporting the scope, schedule, and quality of project work
  • Collaborating with clinical and operational partners to develop workflows that enhance the patient experience and make them a more active participant in their care through MyChartPLUS
  • Building effective relationships with clinical and operational partners through all phases of projects to support completing project goals
  • Analyzing workflow decisions and how they translate into application configurations to ensure system design reflects decisions from subject matter experts
  • Anticipating and providing solutions to complex problems with the necessary priorities
  • Presenting solutions to operational leaders within their respective team/area
  • Collaborating and consulting with team lead, manager and/or director to coordinate activities
  • Actively participating in team meetings to discuss team and project related activities, issues, change, communications, and updates
  • Collaborating with vendor resources to play an active role in managing the technical build, testing and migration of the system
  • Promoting a team atmosphere that is conducive to the overall accomplishment of goals, schedules, and deadlines
  • Supporting end users during go lives which may include night and weekend coverage
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:


Education:

  • Associates’ degree or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience in a healthcare environment required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or clinical or business area is preferred

Experience:

  • Experience in business or health information system management in a hospital or ambulatory care setting preferred
  • Epic certification or proficiency in MyChart preferred
  • Travel to Epic’s corporate office in Madison, Wisconsin may be required
