The Registered Dietitian assures provision of quality nutritional care to hospital patients by assessing nutritional status and developing care plan in conjunction with medical and nursing personnel. Monitors patients' ongoing nutritional status. Provides nutritional instruction to patient, families and various community groups. Collects quality improvement data and evaluates it to provide quality nutritional service. Provides guidance and direction to diet technicians in performance of daily work activities. Per diem Dietitians will have the opportunity for increased hours as staff take paid time off and use leave as they are able. Reports to the director. |
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition/Dietetics.
• Registered Dietitian with American Dietetic Association Commission on Dietetic Registration to be obtained within 3 months of employment.
• Verification statement of eligibility to take the Dietetic Registration exam required upon hire.
• CT Dietitian Certification to be obtained within 3 months from becoming a Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association Commission (CDR).
• Minimum 1 to 3 years clinical experience.
