Shift Details: 7:00am-7:30pm with weekend rotation and holiday commitments.

The creation of the HHC System Support Office recognizes the work of a large and growing group of employees whose responsibilities are continually evolving so that we and our departments now work on behalf of the system as a whole, rather than a single member organization.

Position Summary:

Utilizes advanced clinical knowledge and interpersonal skills to intervene effectively with callers experiences emotional dysregulation or other behavioral health crises, providing callers with coping skills and other therapeutic interventions as appropriate. Provides intervention and supervision for caseworkers to enhance their skills and proficiencies. Provides outstanding customer services with a commitment to adhering to first call resolution whenever possible, and overall customer satisfaction. Requires a timely and efficient response to inquiries and ability to serve as liaison between HHC and the community. 


  • Utilizes clinical skills to respond to callers in emotional distress, providing coping skills and crisis intervention techniques to de-escalate situation. 

  • Direct caller to appropriate level of care including but not limited to OP, IOP, PHP, IP or emergent care. Assists callers to appropriate level of care with written hand off whenever possible. Facilities emergent care as clinically indicated.

  • Tracks and documents all calls according to established guidelines and ensures timely follow up when indicated.

  • Collaborates and communicates with providers when patient requires a higher level of care.

  • Assumes other responsibilities including participating in education and in-service programs, process improvement, and quality assurance initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and team function. 



  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or other related human service field.
  • One or more of the following licenses required: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Ability to read, speak and write English required, ability to communication is Spanish highly desirable.
  • Commitment to maintain complete confidentiality of patient health information and adhere to HIPPA requirements. 
  • Strong crisis intervention skills, as well as interpersonal and client engagement skills per formal education.
