Job Description
We’re currently seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA) to join our Occupational Health and Rehabilitation department.

Responsible for a variety of patient care functions under the direction of physicians, mid-level providers and Supervisor. Greets & escorts patient to exam room, obtains & records vital signs into the Electronic Medical Record. Other duties include but are not limited to venipuncture, urine drug screen and breath alcohol testing, hearing and breathing testing, in addition to assisting clinical staff with other duties including administrative and record-keeping duties. Maintains a safe & clean environment for the patient, maintains equipment & supplies. Maintains effective interpersonal relationships with patients, families & coworkers.

Qualifications

High school diploma required.
1-2 years of Medical Assistant experience in a physician office setting or completion of a Medical Assistant program.

Critical Success Factors: Ability to work independently. Ability to remain calm and focus on patient needs in a stressful environment. Team Player. Knowledge of universal precautions. Sensitivity. Customer relations/service skills. Excellent communication and computer skills.
