Job description:

Position includes recovering patients from anesthesia, including general anesthesia, regional anesthesia and IV sedation. We are a 20 bed PACU, providing service to a variety of surgical services, such as general surgery, urology, gynecology, neurosurgery including spine surgery, plastic surgery, thoracic and vascular surgery, cardiac procedures (TAVR), bariatric surgery, colorectal surgery, ENT and OMF surgery. We are a fast paced unit receiving patients from 40+ operating rooms and we provide service 24/7. We require ICU experience as well as ACLS certification as we frequently care for ICU and stepdown patients. Nurse/Patient ratio is 2:1. We are looking for candidates with a positive outlook, an open mind and a “can-do” attitude.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN License.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• At least 1 year of ICU experience
• BSN Preferred
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association and proof of Arrhythmia Certification required prior to date of hire.
