Assists with managing the daily operations of all Central Sterile Processing Services. Manages the activity of Central Sterile Supply Technicians engaged in furnishing sterile and non-sterile supplies, equipment and services for the care and treatment of patients. Provides support to the Central Sterile Supply Manager and acts as supervisor in manager’s absence.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Four years’ experience in Central Sterile Supply required.
Licensure, Certification, Registration
Current "Sterile Processing Distribution Technician Certification" from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Inc. (CBSPD) or International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) required.
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
• Working knowledge of all functions of Central Sterile Supply
• Advanced knowledge of cardiovascular, bariatric, orthopedics and neuro instrumentation required.
• Must create a positive environment by acting as a positive role model to staff and adhering to Leadership behaviors at all times.
Associate’s degree preferred.
Prior supervisory experience preferred.
