Advanced Practitioner Role Scope   

Provides holistic, quality and cost-effective advanced practice care for patients, families, and others within the Interventional Cardiology department.  Engages in collaborative decision-making with the attending physicians, advanced practitioners and other members of the health care team. Responsible for complex invasive cardiology consultations in the inpatient and outpatient settings, admission and discharge for elective interventional cardiology patients, post-procedure follow-up and patient education.  Reports to the Cardiac catheterization Lab director.

Qualifications

Advanced Practitioner Requirements

Completion of Approved Nurse Practitioner Program/Physician Assistant Program if appropriate for specialty.

Current APRN license or PA required.

Certification according to CT state law.

Cardiology and/or Cardiac catheterization lab experience strongly preferred
