Under the direction and general supervision of the Clinical Manager, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, policies and procedures of the hospital and as directed by the medical staff. The Registered Nurse (RN) who through knowledge and ability utilizes the nursing process to develop a plan of care which includes standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional spiritual, cultural and educational needs of the patient and family. Incorporates the needs and behaviors of patient's age group in planning and providing care.
Qualifications
RN CT License. BSN required. . Certification as a CRNI or VA-BC preferred. If hired without, applicant will be required to obtain certification within one year of start date. . PICC/Midline insertion experienced preferred . We strive for above 90% first stick success rates and placing an IV that will last till the end of patient's therapy. Understanding the anatomy and physiology of the venous system is a basic requirement. . Prior IV insertion skills are required. Applicant must be able to demonstrate use of ultrasound to guide IV placement within three months of being hired. . Applicant must demonstrate meticulous infection control practices . Must be able to practice independently . Understanding of INS Standards of Practice and on measures to reduce and prevent CLABSI's is strongly preferred . Willingness to teach, coach, mentor best practice with all members of the healthcare team. . Demonstrate excellent bedside mannerism.
