Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network is the premier rehabilitation provider in Connecticut. We provide rehabilitation services across the continuum - acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, sub-acute rehabilitation, homecare, outpatient centers, and in community settings such as senior centers, work sites, and schools and colleges. We offer over 30 outpatient locations with a variety of specialists, including oncology, women’s health, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language, we are known for our commitment to high quality, customer focused outcomes.
We're seeking an experienced and caring Occupational Therapist (OT) with strong hand knowledge to join our outpatient team. Certified hand therapist (CHT) preferred but not required.
This is a great opportunity to work with experienced clinicians and some of the best orthopedic physicians, nurses and physician assistants in New England! Shadow opportunities with hand surgeons available as well as an opportunity to enhance splinting techniques. This is a float position which offers a wonderful opportunity to treat a variety of patients and interact with our dynamic and experienced OT team! Primary coverage will vary between the greater Meriden and Wethersfield area, flexibility in locations is possible.
The Occupational Therapist (OT) independently evaluates, determines the treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, restore and remediate, in order to maximize function in the areas of activities of daily living, leisure/recreation, and productivity/work. Addresses dysfunction in psychosocial skills, cognition, and sensorimotor components. Reports to Manager.

We believe in high standards. These standards allow us to bring out the very best in our clients and our staff.
• At least 6 months outpatient orthopedic experience required.
• Experience treating hands required, CHT preferred.
• Graduate of Occupational Therapy Program from an accredited American Occupational Therapy Association school, BS degree or entry level master's degree.
• Current Occupational Therapist License required.
• Experience in mental health treatment, conducting evaluations, group facilitation skills preferred.
