Don’t miss the opportunity to be a part of our new, state of the art Inpatient Rehab Unit within Hartford Hospital. All 26 beds are in private inpatient rooms giving our patients access to ongoing acute medical management, 24 hour rehabilitative nursing care and the latest rehab techniques. Our dedication to delivering personalized coordinated care coupled with the healing environment offered by this new unit will shorten length of stay and allow our patients a quicker and healthier return to home.

Overview
We’re seeking a dedicated and caring Occupational Therapist (OT) who would like the opportunity to be part of a team with a patient-centered approach, which brings decades of experience in providing the most innovative care. This position will treat patients with all diagnoses with a focus on stroke, traumatic brain or spinal cord injuries, as well as other neurological conditions. Our new unit will feature a collaborative interdisciplinary team atmosphere and approach to patient care. This is a great opportunity to work in a special inpatient rehab setting, while still having access to the opportunities and benefits available in a system with a full continuum of rehab care.

Position Description
The Occupational Therapist (OT) independently evaluates, determines the treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, restore and remediate, in order to maximize function in the areas of activities of daily living, leisure/recreation, and productivity/work. Addresses dysfunction in psychosocial skills, cognition, and sensorimotor components. Reports to Manager.

Qualifications

• OT working experience required.
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience highly preferred.
• Graduate of Occupational Therapy Program from an accredited American Occupational Therapy Association school, BS degree or entry level master's degree.
• Current Occupational Therapist (OT) License required.

• Current BLS/CPR from American Heart Association required.
• Experience in mental health treatment, conducting evaluations, group facilitation skills preferred.
