The creation of the HHC System Support Office recognizes the work of a large and growing group of employees whose responsibilities are continually evolving so that we and our departments now work on behalf of the system as a whole, rather than a single member organization.
With the creation of our new umbrella organization we now have our own identity with a unique payroll, benefits, performance management system, service recognition programs and other common practices across the system.
Verify payer information, patient eligibility and benefits for hospital services.

 

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

1. Create billing estimates and educate patients on their financial liability pre-service. 
2. Request and secure pre-service collection. 
3. High telephone interaction with patients, payers and clinical areas. 
4. Electronic worklist. 
5. Call center environment. 
6. Quality and Productivity expectations

Qualifications

• High School diploma required. 
• Two years experience in medical or insurance billing preferred. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Detail oriented. 
• Professional customer service skills. 
• Must be able to sit for 90% of the day. 
• Bilingual candidates - Spanish, a plus
