Job Description
Responsible for ensuring high quality of patient care. Carries out departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with rules/guidelines in the Urology Service line. Our duties include performing nursing treatments, patient calls, conducting chart reviews, and completing other tasks as directed by the Quality Nurse Manager and Operational Leadership in the Hartford Region. Maintaining active clinical duties as assigned is essential in promoting excellent communication and coordinating quality care for our patients. Collaboration with the Quality Nurse Manager and Operational leadership to inspire and encourage team members, guiding them through change processes with skill and sensitivity. Supporting clinical initiatives and innovations within our program under their direction will ensure continued excellence in patient care.
Responsibilities include:
• Nurse Scheduling: Managing and coordinating the schedules of our nursing staff.
• Recruitment Support: Assisting in the interview process for new RN and LPN candidates in collaboration with site manager and QNM
• Training: Conducting orientation and training sessions for newly hired RN/LPNs in the Hartford region.
• Triaging phone calls and facilitating urgent appointments as needed.
• Continuing Education: Providing additional educational support to the current RN/LPN team.
• Resource Management: Assisting with the ordering of medical supplies and pharmaceutical drugs.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by Quality Nurse Manager and Regional Manager
Qualifications
• Associates of science in Nursing
• Active CT License
• 5-8 years of clinical nursing experience
• Epic experience
