Job Description:

 Performs a variety of processing duties including: decontamination, sterilization, supply, case cart assembly and packaging. Fulfills all requirements for documentation to ensure the department is able to distribute high quality sterile products in an efficient manner to effectively meet the requirements of its customers. Maintains a thorough knowledge of instrumentation, equipment, utilization, and sterile processing. Responsible for running the floor independently in the absence of the supervisor, performs and delegates assigned duties. Works in collaboration with the O.R. to provide patient required instrumentation. Reports to the Manager. 

Qualifications

  •  High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Current "Sterile Processing Distribution Technician Certification" from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Inc.(CBSPD) required or ability to become certified within 18 months of hire.
  • One year experience in Central Sterile Supply preferred.
  •  Ability to read, write and speak English required.
