Position Details:
Hartford Hospital is seeking a Clinical Data Analyst as we work towards advancing our strategic imperative for health equity. This role will be vital to creating patient focused metric-based initiatives that target health improvement in specific populations and diseases. Our goal is to have a clear vision of Equity data in order to address health issues in culturally appropriate methods and stratify data findings to have a more accurate picture of where improvements can be made to erase inequities and disparities. This role will be positioned in partnership with the Department of Medicine as the largest department at HHC, with both an acute and ambulatory footprint at HH.
This position is for an analyst excited and invested in data management, health equity, and caring for our community. The Clinical Data Analyst role is highly flexible and will contribute to key strategies for quality outcomes for our colleagues, patients and our communities.
The candidate will work with a variety of stakeholders across Hartford Hospital to better define data sets both in our acute and clinical teams with data and analytics from Epic as well as work closely with the clinical intelligence infrastructure here at Hartford Healthcare. The candidate will track and manage all clinical intelligence tickets and SBARS pertaining to equity data requests as assigned.

Location: Hartford Hospital campus
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, hybrid optional

Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in computer science or in health care related field required. Master preferred.
Minimum 5 years experience with computer operating systems and Microsoft office required. Minimum one year clinical experience required
Minimum of 3 years of experience and strong competence in managing, interpreting and analyzing healthcare data
Excellent interpersonal skills with working knowledge of medical terminology.
Demonstrated ability to network with all levels of the organization
EPIC Caboodle and Clarity Certification preferred
Proficient with SQL and report writing preferred
Excellent/Effective communication skills and knowledge of desktop tools (Tableau, Qlikview, Excel)
Strong planning and organizational skills
