Natchaug Hospital is Eastern Connecticut’s leading provider for children, adolescents and adults with mental illness and substance abuse addictions. We offer a variety of programs including inpatient and outpatient behavioral health, residential treatment for court-involved teenage girls, geriatric services, clinical day treatment schools and chemical dependency services. Job Summary

Provide regular clinical supervision to COTA staff members, to ensure compliance with established standards and to ensure continued eligibility for licensure and certifications. Complete inpatient evaluations/assessments as needed. Provide ongoing education and training for COTA staff members, to ensure appropriateness, timeliness and adequacy in the provision of treatment programming. Reviews treatment plan documentation to ensure compliance with hospital and outside licensing agency standards. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Registered with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and currently licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Connecticut.
  • Previous clinical experience with children, adolescent and adults with psychiatric or chemical dependency issues preferred. 
  • Ability to read, write and speak English, to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to work varying hours and perform duties of position.
  • Computer proficiency and keyboarding skills required
