                               THOCC Nocturnist MD/DO

The Hospital of Central Connecticut (THOCC), an affiliate of Hartford HealthCare, is a 446 bed mid-size community teaching hospital, located in New Britain, CT.  We are seeking a Nocturnist to serve as a rounding/admitting physician for Attending Medical Staff.  The Hospitalist is responsible for the clinical management of patients, assuring timely communication and comprehensive collaboration, and is also responsible for Inpatient Management/Hospital based medical care.  This position will have selected administrative responsibilities such as required committee work, quality improvement activities, and teaching responsibilities for both staff and the community.

 

This is a Nights only position (7pm - 7am or 8pm - 8am)

-Only 12 nights per month

-Closed ICU, No procedures required

-ICU has 24 /7 APP & STAR nurse support in house

-Responsible for supervising Internal Medicine residents on complex cases, RRT

-7 PM -7 AM Nocturnist - primary admitter

-8PM-8AM Nocturnist - Cross coverage, direct admissions, ICU transfers

-2 Physicians, 1 APP & night float residents

Qualifications

Physician Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine with experience in managing acutely ill adult patients with a variety of chronic illnesses.
