Job Description

Responsible for providing outstanding and professional customer service to ensure efficiency and promote a positive patient experience.

  • Answers incoming calls for the Neuroscience Center promptly and professionally, evaluates priority, and directs calls appropriately according to urgency and subject matter.
  • Schedules new patient appointments accurately, and informs patients of essential preparation requirements prior to visit.
  • Ensures schedule utilization and runs wait list reports to move patients to a sooner date.
  • Transcribes incoming referrals from external providers.
  • Manages RightFax, an electronic fax source, and triages the incoming faxes.
  • Supports the front desk and check out as needed. Including greeting patients, collecting co- pays and insurances.
  • Orders office supplies for the Epilepsy Center.
  • Runs Epic reports on clinic metrics that are used in daily huddles. 
  • Blocks and updates clinician templates. 

As a Patient Service Coordinator for the Epilepsy Center you will work with a great team of physicians, physician assistants, and advance practice registered nurses. Within this position there is great support from leadership and opportunity to work and connect with colleagues within the Epilepsy Center throughout the state. There are opportunities for growth within the growing Epilepsy Center. We are looking for a candidate who is ambitious, reliable, and displays good critical thinking skills.


  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Relevant experience in a fast-paced medical office highly preferred.
  • Epic experience preferred.
  • Positive, customer-focused approach, with commitment to providing excellent patient care.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate in other languages highly desirable.
  • Strong computer skills. Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Basic working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to travel independently to satellite offices with or without advanced notice.
  • Strong working knowledge of insurance requirements.
