Programs are offered for children, adolescents and adults struggling with mental illness as well as offering services specializing in Anxiety, Eating Disorders, and Geriatric Services.

Job Summary

Overall clinical/administrative responsibility, accountability and authority for the functioning of the Inpatient Psychiatric units.  In collaboration with multi-disciplinary Inpatient Program Managers, the Clinical Program Manger ensures that high-quality, cost effective care is delivered by the program.  The Clinical Program Manager is responsible for ensuring the financial viability of program through referral development and coordination with other hospital services and departments.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Directs clinical and administrative supervision of all Inpatient Clinicians and Resource Coordinators within all the inpatient units. Performs annual reviews and provides feedback. Interviews and makes staffing decisions on new hires.
  2. Develops, implements and maintains a program which includes BHN philosophy and mission, goals and which adheres to policies, procedures, and clinical programming.
  3. Performs ongoing quality assurance, program evaluation and patient follow-up.
  4. In collaboration with the Director of Inpatient Services, develops and maintains the programs annual budget, setting appropriate census goals and payor mix that will foster financial viability of the program.
  5. Ensures appropriate and timely medical records documentation on program patients in EPIC by conducting audits and ensuring staff members are documenting in a timely manner.
  6. Develops systems of referral with inpatient hospital units that ensure rapid transfer and treatment for all patients.  Develops a community referral network.
  7. Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work.
  • Five years working with psychiatric patients with demonstrated sensitivity to and knowledge of patient population care issues.
  • One or more years of leadership experience is preferred.
  • Valid LCSW licensed in the State of Connecticut.
