Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network is the premier rehabilitation provider in Connecticut. We provide rehabilitation services across the continuum - acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, sub-acute rehabilitation, homecare, outpatient centers, and in community settings such as senior centers, work sites, and schools and colleges. We offer over 30 outpatient locations with a variety of specialists, including oncology, women’s health, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language, we are known for our commitment to high quality, customer focused outcomes.
Overview
We’re seeking a per diem Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for our outpatient office in West Hartford who has a passion for patient care primarily in the area of neuro rehab with a focus on adult medical communication and swallowing disorders. This is a great opportunity to work with a diverse patient population that offers a wonderful team atmosphere with experienced clinicians and some of the best providers in New England!
Position Overview:
The SLP will be responsible for independent performance of medically based communicative and swallowing diagnostic and rehabilitative procedures on an outpatient basis. There will be a strong emphasis on the assessment and treatment of impairments related to stroke, brain injury, progressive neuromuscular diseases, and voice disorders. Weekday and evening opportunities available, with the ability to provide coverage in multiple locations and settings. There are also opportunities for training in specialized treatment programs such as SPEAK OUT!, Respiratory Muscle Training, and sEMG biofeedback dysphagia treatment (Synchrony). Reports to site leadership.
