Job Description
Perinatal Sonographer responsibilities to include but not limited to:
Performing perinatal diagnostic medical sonograms in accordance with protocols to assist the physician with diagnosis and treatment.
Assisting in the training and development of Resident ultrasound skills
Performs ultrasound quality control measures and checks
Assist with Maternal Fetal Medicine Interventional procedures
Must be willing to travel to satellite locations
Helps out other roles in the department when time permits
Travel will be required between office locations including Hartford, BlueBack in West Hartford, Midstate Medical Center, Hospital of Central Connecticut and Hartford HealthCare as needed.
Qualifications
Associates Degree required
Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Program required.
Registered - ARDMS or eligible
OB/GYN certification preferred
A minimum one year high risk OB U.S. experience preferred.
Nuchal Translucency certification preferred.
Maintain continuing education credits.
Computer literate- Microsoft Word , Outlook
Knowledge of Observer and IDX preferred
Commitment to attaining Fetal echo Credential
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Outstanding customer service skills
Professional communication with patients, coworkers and providers
