Overview:

Hartford HealthCare is seeking full-time Rehab Aide to join the Connecticut Orthopedic Institute at Midstate Medical Center.  Altered work week schedule to include day and evening shifts; 12-hour, 10-hour and evening only shifts can be considered. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic rehab team, servicing both the orthopedic and acute care services. 

Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and/or Occupational Therapist, the Rehab Aide performs delegated functions as a member of the rehabilitation team by providing multi-skilled services. This role contributes to the successful operation of the work area, and functions in accordance with all existing regulatory and company standards, policies and procedures.         

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School graduate or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Patient care experience highly preferred, one or more years of hospital experience as rehab aide preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements

  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Computer literacy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills required
