The Center for Anti-Infective Research and Development at Hartford Hospital has a long-standing history of performing cutting edge research in Infectious Diseases since 1978.  The Center participates in all aspects of anti-infective research, including preclinical pharmacology of novel compounds as well as clinical pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic, and clinic research (Phase I-IV) for investigational and currently available antibiotics.


Job Summary:

Initiates, implements and maintains a variety of research protocols with hospital, sponsor, and regulatory guidelines with the goals of contributing to the advancement of medical therapeutic and diagnostic techniques, and enhancing the research group's ability to acquire research funds. 


  • Bachelor's Degree, Master's preferred 
  • At least 2 years of clinical trial management experience
  • Experience in all aspects of research: recruitment of subjects, IRB submission, protocol set-up, etc.
  • Registered Nurse in CT may be required for some projects. 
  • Demonstrated clinically competence with patient related measurements and high degree of accuracy with respect to documentation and data collection. 
  • Demonstrated initiative and excellent organizational skills in planning and executing study logistics. 
  • Experience in a clinical area, e.g. Nursing, Nuclear Medicine, etc. 
  • Ability to use time efficiently. Outstanding interpersonal, communications, negotiation skills and enthusiasm. Ability to work independently yet use good judgment in seeking advice when necessary. Knowledge of research methodology, data analysis, statistical analysis and associated software is preferred.
