Job Shift: Shift 2
Shift Details: every other weekend, rotating holidays

Job Description:

Performs, interprets and correlates clinical laboratory tests by following protocols to assist in the physician diagnosis and treatment of illness and disease.  Works under the direction of a qualified supervisor. Expected to utilize complex problem-solving skills in resolving clinical and instrument problems.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a medical laboratory technology from accredited institution OR from have successfully completed an official military medical laboratory procedures course of at least 50 weeks duration and have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician) accredited institution
  • Five (5) years’ experience as medical laboratory technician in a clinical laboratory
  • ASCP or equivalent certification
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrate high level of problem solving.
  • Ability to communicate well with supervisors, physicians, co-workers and hospital staff.
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment and instruments where appropriate.
  • Proficient computer skills.
