Job Schedule: Full TimeBrain Injury Rehabilitation Physiatrist
The Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network, located in Hartford, Connecticut, is actively recruiting an Inpatient/Outpatient rehabilitation medicine specialist with interest in Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). This opportunity will include a Program Directorship of ABI to assist in growing the clinical and academic practice, with a primary focus on developing a continuum of care in the rehabilitation management of ABI.
The position, in partnership with the Ayer Neuroscience institute, Level 1 Trauma and the Neuro oncology programs, will manage a busy inpatient consult service, work toward establishment of a post-acute care continuum, and improve access to a rapidly growing outpatient brain injury population. Known for best-in-class clinical and business operations, you will practice medicine in our state-of-the-art 26 bed inpatient rehabilitation unit that opened in October 2018 right on the Hartford Hospital campus.
The role provides various opportunities to pursue academic, research and scholarly activities, supporting the PMR residency program, teaching and mentoring residents, fellows, medical students, and rehabilitation therapists who are a part of one of the largest networks in the State. The position comes with a Faculty appointment at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
The ideal candidate will be BC/BE, have interest and experience in ABI and preferably certified/fellowship trained in BI rehabilitation.
