Job Summary:

The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images to radiologists and physicians for interpretation. Performs all aspects of ultrasound procedures including abdominal, pelvic, gynecologic, small parts, Doppler studies and interventional procedures utilizing an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s individual age specific needs and to provide individualized age specific treatment and care. This position may require performing procedure in other departments such as O.R., I.R. and on hospital inpatient units. This position is 100% clinical.

Qualifications

Requirements: 

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - ARDMS or RDMS. 
  • Prefer at least one (1) year experience as an Ultrasound Technologist; including but not limited to: abdominal, renal/aorta, pelvic/transvaginal, breast, carotid doppler, venous doppler-lower and upper extremity and thyroid.
