Job Description:

Responsible for coordinating and overseeing recruiting, interviewing and collecting data on Orthopedic patient studies in collaboration with department leaders and principal investigators. Reports to the Bone & Joint Institute Clinical Trial Unit Leader/Supervisor.

  • Responsible for accurate and timely source documents, data collection, documentation, entry, and reporting including timely response to sponsor queries. 
  • Responsible for compiling and reporting on each study including information related to protocol activity, accrual data, workload, and other research information; present this information at regular research staff meetings.
  • Responsible for identifying and reporting events (i.e. adverse events, serious events, non-compliance, deviations/violations) to the institutional review board (IRB) and other responsible bodies.
  • Promotes research integrity and quality by facilitating chart reviews, participating in audit preparations and performing quality checks.


  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree, preferable in a healthcare related field and/or biostatistics.
  • 1 to 2 years prior experience as a Research Assistant I or equivalent position.
  • Clinical research professional certificate (i.e. ACRP, SOCRA, RAPS, etc.), preferred
